Sidoarjo

Sidoarjo is one of Regency inside East Java Province which location is in the south-side of capital city Surabaya. Sidoarjo has a strategic position in the province, as the satellite city of Surabaya and also the connecting city between Surabaya and other important Cities/Regencies in East Java, i.e. Pasuruan, Mojokerto, Malang, Probolinggo and Jember.

The Government of Sidoarjo Regency subdivided into several smaller levels of government institution respectively such as District (Kecamatan), Village (Kelurahan/Desa), and the smallest institutions below Kelurahan/Desa such as Rukun Warga (Residential Unit) and Rukun Tetangga (Neighborhood Unit). Kecamatan is headed by Camat dan Kelurahan headed by Lurah. Both are a part of Sidoarjo Regency  Employee which is appointed and headed by Bupati. Differently, Kepala Desa (Head of Desa government), Ketua RW (Head of Residential Unit) dan Ketua RT (Head of Neighborhood Unit) are elected directly by the community in the related area.

Currently, Sidoarjo Regency is headed by Mr. Wien Hendrarso (1999-2009) and he accompanied by the Vice Mr. Saiful Illah.
