Some other sources (Kompas, Media Center) named total refugees lesser. As example Kompas stated total refugees before explosion 9.936 persons and after 12.365 persons which total 22.301 persons. But we believed the number refugees is more than that, because number quoted by Kompas base on refugees in shelter camps. As we found some of them are live with their relatives or families.

On the other hand, Lapindo’s counting base on their compensation payment history to the refugees. So we believed number claimed by the company is more accurate.
